We are here for so much more than just selling. It was on a warm summer night, in a far away 2017, that we began a meeting at the very special MEET MIH, the place where we all got together for the first time to give birth to our dream.
It was then and there that we decided that everything would be built to generate meaningful impacts, and that business would always be important for us but not just our main goal.
A few days later we came up with the name. Without fear of challenging the status quo, nor of arriving late to an ecosystem that we pledged to help grow, we pictured ourselves amongst those who would see it evolve. It was around that time that we realized that transparency, ethics and risk sharing could really become a unique value proposition, bringing hand in hand performance and business results.
Here we are today, immensely together, without ever losing that desire for more and to come up with new paths that can replace the old ones.
‘It comes a time when we need to change our old shoes, as they already fit our feet perfectly, and forget the paths that led us to the same places’. We shaped that time into a concept and abandoned fixed ideas to start thinking differently and with an unprecedented spectrum.
And that’s how Wise Pirates was born, with laughter and post its, complicity and genuine ideas, taking to consideration the clients and placing people always first, because a Man is only as Big as his Dreams.
From that first night up until our first garage we went through very intense weeks, and this always brings us fond memories reminiscing the inevitable. It was, indeed, inevitable and expected at the same time as we had then, and now, the ambition and desire of growth that make us who we are.
We are aware that Perfect is Inhuman, so we’ve always made our approach without the fear of failure and wanting more, admirably more. We’re also told that we grew very fast, but the truth is that we paced ourselves so that we wouldn’t run over anybody. Growth without loss, dreaming without waking up.
Having a meaningful impact implies making our time and effort available to help the ecosystem evolve.
So here we are today, immensely together, without ever losing that desire for more and to come up with new paths that can replace the old ones. Writing has always been a dream of ours, achieved here and there, many times consciously ignored due to the pressure of the, sometimes overwhelming, digital affairs.
Today is the day that we shine a light for yet another dream, yet another new idea. We are aware that having a meaningful impact implies making our time and effort available to help the ecosystem evolve without necessarily always having to monetize it, and we believe that we can share knowledge from one side, but also curating the best of what we consume in the international digital world, we dare to take a single step.
It’s a unique and different approach, bold and yet unexpected to many. Risking a digital magazine in a blog market thinking about SEO is an outstanding adventure, in a team that was not designed to build newspapers or magazines, but we have learned long ago how to sail the seas without fear.
